  1. What valley might you be dealing with today?

  2. What is one of your most treasured mountain-top experiences from your past (something that you are proud to remember)?

  3. What significance does it hold in your heart?

  4. How can you use that mountain-top experience to encourage yourself and make it through the valley?

  Tuesday

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

  1. Think of a time in the past that you felt your head was below water level.

  2. What did you do to get back to where you felt you could breathe again?

  3. How do you think God helped you in that situation?

  4. How would you like God to help you in your current or future struggles that tend to overtake you?

  5. Share with one person your testimony of how God got you through a difficult experience.

  Wednesday

  1. Write out the top five decisions that you've had to make this year.

  2. How often did approval and criticism from others play a part in how you made those decisions?

  3. How can you allow God to be central in many of the important decisions that guard your life?

  4. Take some time today, and write out the top five decisions you need to make within the next three months.  Take some time to pray over each decision throughout today.  Tonight, write out how you believe God is leading in that decision after you've spent the day in reflection over these decisions.

  Thursday

1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

  1. What drastic change are you facing that tends to upset you?

  2. Why does this change upset you so much?

  3. List several alternative views of this change.  How might you see the change from a different perspective?

  4. Is there a perspective of this change that you feel you could possibly live with or accept?

  Friday

  1. Think of a time that you felt like you were facing a challenge all by yourself.  What gave you courage to persevere?

  2. How does knowing someone has your back help to keep moving forward?

  3. How might you be a help to others that are struggling to continue on, in spite of the challenges?

  4. Write a list of at least five people that you feel would benefit from knowing that you are cheering for their success.  Give them a call, or write them a letter of encouragement over the weekend.
